Temple teams vie for title

ALBANY–Pennant races are heating up in the 2010 Tournament of the Temples softball season. Games are contested Sundays at the Albany Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Rd., as six teams vie for the championship.
In July 18 action, Congregation Agudat Achim defeated the Hebrew Academy of the Capital District (HACD) 13-12. With two weeks left to go before the playoffs, the standings have B’nai Sholom Reform Congregation leading the Blue division with a 2-0 record, followed by Agudat Achim at 1-3 and Berith Sholom at 0-2. Powerhouse Beth Emeth leads the White division at 3-0, followed by Ohav Shalom at 2-1 and HACD at 0-2.
July 25 games will be Ohav Shalom at HACD at 3:30 p.m. and Beth Emeth at B’nai Sholom at 5:30.
The games are open to all spectators.
