SARATOGA SPRINGS–Music, vendors, food and more are on the menu for the annual Saratoga Chabad Shalom Festival, slated for Sunday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Congress Park.
“Kosher Hypnotist and Mentalist” Ronnie Baras, fresh from a headlining performance in Las Vegas, will present a comedy hypnosis show and teach magic tricks to children at his noon and 2 p.m. shows. The Shmendriks and Shaina Maidel of Albany will perform Jewish klezmer music at 1 p.m. Cellist Will Hayes of Clifton Park will perform music inspired by Rabbi Israel ben Eliezer, the Baal Shem Tov, at 2 p.m.
Whoopsy Daisy, a clown, will perform throughout the day.
Vendors will include Saratoga Apple, the Shofar Factory, Frenchie Loeb jewelry along with Rabbi Abba Rubin’s ‘nickel a pickle’ booth and other kosher food options.
The festival is open to the community.
