Carl Mateo set
for Israel Café
ALBANY–Singer/songwriter Carl Mateo will perform at the Jewish Educational Resources of New York (JERNY) Israel Center Café this Saturday, Sept. 13, 9 p.m. at the Israel Center, 199 New Scotland Ave.
The folk rocker, a Catskills native and member of the band Hooligan, plays guitar, harmonica and piano. He has performed with John Hammond, Jorma Kaukonen, Suzanne Vega, David Johannsen and Matt Guitar Murphy. His debut solo album, Big White House, was voted a top-ten independent release of 2004 by the Off the Beaten Track radio show.
Fee of $10 includes a kosher vegetarian buffet.
