Beth Emeth Brotherhood lists summer social events

ALBANY–Congregation Beth Emeth’s Brotherhood has three social programs on the summer calendar this July and August.

The brotherhood is co-sponsoring a rafting trip with the TRIBE on Sunday, July 14, on the Indian and Hudson Rivers in North River. The cost is $84 a person. Reservations must be made online by July 3 at Mark Swyer at can provide information.

On Saturday, July 20, the brotherhood will host a barbecue at the synagogue, 100 Academy Rd., followed by an evening at Park Playhouse. The 8 p.m. performance will be  “Into the Heights.” The barbecue will begin at 6:15 p.m. and a bus will depart at 7:15 p.m. for Washington Park.  The barbecue will cost $5; free for children under 12. A night out at the ballgame at the Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy has been slated for Sunday, Aug. 25, from 5- 9 p.m. The game will feature the Valley Cats vs. the Staten Island Yankees. Ticket holders will get a hot dog, chips and soda. The cost for game tickets and dinner is $11 for members; $13 for non-members. Reservations may be made online at by Aug. 21.
