Beth Emeth plans several February social programs

ALBANY–Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany has several social programs on its calendar over the next few weeks. The temple is located at 100 Academy Rd., Albany.

A ‘Sisterhood Night Out’ is planned for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30. It will be held at Bellini’s Restaurant, 1365 New Scotland Rd., Slingerlands. Those planning to attend the dinner outing are asked to register by Monday, Jan. 27, at CBESisterEvents@gmail.com.

The Brotherhood plans both a Super Bowl party and a Torah study brunch in February. The Super Bowl Party on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 6 -11 p.m. will feature a homemade meal, but those attending will be asked to bring a side dish and beverages to share. Those planning to attend are asked to register by Wednesday, Jan. 29, with Bradley Morris at bamorris1991@gmail.com. On Saturday, Feb. 8, the brotherhood will host a brunch for those attending the 9:30 a.m. Torah study with Rabbinic Intern Alexandra Stein. The cost of brunch, which is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., is $10 a person. Registration for the brunch is requested by Thursday, Feb. 6, at bethemethalbany.org. The monthly ‘Shabbat Unplugged’ Service and dinner is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 -7:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a pre-neg nosh, followed by a 5:30 p.m. service that will feature participation by second and third graders, along with the junior choir. A dinner for families will be held at 6:30 p.m. Those planning to attend the dinner may register at bethemethalbany.org.

The TRG group has announced a “Deli & Movie Night” on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 6:30 -9 p.m. at the synagogue. The Ben & Bill’s dinner will be followed by a 7:30 p.m. showing of “To Life.” The cost is $20 for congregants; $25 for non-members. Registration is online at bethemethalbany.org.
