ALBANY–Congregation Beth Emeth Sisterhood has slated its 11th annual Susan B. Shpeen ‘Virtual’ Memorial Donor Dinner Day on Sunday, May 2. The event will begin with a chance to greet Rabbi Scott Shpeen, pick up a complimentary dessert from the sisterhood and engage in a $20 ‘wine pull’ between 1 – 3 p.m. at the synagogue, 100 Academy Rd. in Albany.
The event will continue in the evening, with attendees being able to choose takeout dinners from menus developed by several local restaurants specifically for this event. The restaurants include Yono’s, Panza’s, Via Fresca, Brown’s Brewing Co., Tara Kitchen, Nicole’s, The Standard and Henry’s for people attending from Florida in the Boca Raton area. Those planning to attend will choose their restaurant and place orders directly with the restaurant by Wednesday, April 28. They will then pick up their dinner that night and can dine while listening to singers engage in a live “Park Playhouse Finest Performances’ concert at 7:30 p.m. that evening.
Information and the registration link are on the Beth Emeth website’s homepage at BethEmethAlbany.org. Donations are $36 for a single donor and $50 for a household. All money raised through donations and the ‘wine pull’ will benefit the congregation’s youth activities. Registration is required by April 28 to receive the Zoom link to the performance.
