ALBANY Bethlehem Chabad has invited teens in the community to join together to help cook festive meals for those seniors celebrating Thanksgiving alone on Wednesday, Nov 24, from 10-11:30 a.m.  The free program will be at Bethlehem Chabad, 393 Delaware Ave., Delmar.

“Unfortunately there are many seniors that are still isolated due to the pandemic. “This is a fun way for teens to have a good time together and take the message of Thanksgiving to heart and make a lasting impact on others in our community,” Chanie Simon, co-director of Bethlehem Chabad, asserted. “Seniors that we service through our Senior Connections program will benefit from the homemade meals be buoyed by the heartwarming act of kindness.”

The teens will also have an opportunity to bake a seasonal pumpkin challah to share with their own families for Thanksgiving or Shabbat.
