ALBANY–Congregation Beth Emeth has slated an additional two October “Come In and Learn” programs, which will be available at the synagogue, 100 Academy Rd., Albany and ‘virtually” on Wednesdays, Oct. 20, and 27. Both will be from 12-1:30 p.m and are free and open to the community.

“Jews of Color” will be the theme on Oct. 20. A prerecorded conversation of Rabbi Angela Buchdahl of New York’s Central Synagogue; Dr. Bruce Phillips, professor of sociology and Jewish communal Service, HUC/Los Angeles, and Dr. Andrew Rehfeld, president of Hebrew Union College. Inclusion and diversity will be reviewed.

Rabbi Scott Shpeen, Beth Emeth’s spiritual leader, will discuss “Understanding American Jews Based On The Latest Pew Study,” at the Oct. 27 program.

Vaccination proof and masks are required. There is no food allowed in the synagogue.
