Hudson Valley artists selected for annual Fall for Art fund-raiser; Show set for The Chateau on Nov. 7

KINGSTOWN–Fall for Art, an annual juried art show, sale and fund-raising cocktail reception, hosted by the Jewish Federation of Ulster County has been announced for Thursday, Nov. 7, from 5-8 p.m. at The Chateau, 240 Boulevard, Kingston.

Selected area artists for the 23rd annual art show represent a range of artistic media (including: painting, pottery, photography, jewelry, fiber, glass, wood and mixed media) will sell and talk about their work. As a new addition to this year’s fund-raiser, two local galleries have been invited to exhibit alongside this year’s juried artists: Cross Contemporary Art and Emerge Gallery.

Participating artists are: Lori Adams, photography; Paola Bari, porcelain; Harriet Forman Barrett,  jewelry; Janet Baskerville, jewelry; Sara Beames, fused glass, jewelry; Miriam Bisceglia, textiles; Monica Cohen, pen & ink / oils; Maxine Davidowitz, monotype; Nancy Donskoj, photography; Ann Egan, jewelry; John Fischer, photography; John Franklin, wood;  Julia Fry, cut paper on mixed media; Alexa Ginsberg, felt; William Greenwood, jewelry; Glenn Grubard paper-cut fine art; Liz Horn & Ron Zukor, jewelry; Nicole Juran, pottery; Louise Lefkovits, mixed media; Joanne Martignoni, pottery; Lisa Pinto, oil on canvas; Marysa Sacerdote, jewelry; Robert Selkowitz pastel / oil; Kaete Brittin Shaw, ceramics; and Charlotte Tusch, mixed media paint.

The Ulster Federation, which in 2019 marks 40 years of community service, supports area not-for-profit organizations including the Hudson Valley Food Bank, Family of Woodstock, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), People’s Place, Angel Food East, Jewish Family Services,  scholarships for local students and Federation activities.

Reservations for the Nov. 7 event are $50 in advance ($55 at the door) and will be available in September at: www.fallforart.org and at the Ulster Federation office at One Albany Avenue, Suite G-10 (the Governor Clinton building) in Kingston. The Federation office at 845-338-8131 can provide details.
