Matisyahu, as shown on the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall site,  plans an acoustic presentation on Nov. 21 at the Hall.

Matisyahu, whose Judaism has often informed his music, will be at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, 32 2nd St., Troy, for an acoustic performance on Thursday, Nov. 21. He will be joined by Adam Weinberg. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Matisyahu has been influenced and often incorporates reggae, rap, beatboxing, and hip-hop in concert. He attempts, he has explained, to relate his authentic responses to meaningful teachings and experiences.

He has been affilated at times with the Chabad Lubavitch movement and the Karlin Chasidic group.

According to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, through his lyrics he has developed a personal, artistic, and sophisticated way to express the yearning for deep spiritual meaning, and as his own beliefs opened up to find more variety and depth, a desire for his performances to match the unpredictable flow of life has developed as well.
