SARATOGA SPRINGS–Congregation Shaara Tfille, The Jewish Community Center of Saratoga Springs has announced its 2024 Winter Jewish Film Festival. The festival will include 10 films that individuals may stream for free directly into their homes from December 22 – 31, 2024. Pre-registration is by Friday, Dec. 20, to access the films.
Selected films include notable, recently released, international feature movies that have been showcased in major Jewish film festivals around the world, such as: “Bad Shabbos” (A 2024 Tribeca Film Festival Audience Award Winner), “Auction”, (A 2024 French film; ripped-from-the-headlines ensemble drama set in the crosshairs of high art and high finance.) “Midas Man” (A 2024 recently released British biopic about Brian Epstein, “The Fifth Beatle” and their manager.), “Yaniv” (A 2024 dark, Jewish comedy that explores the NYC underground card game world), “The Glory of Life” (A 2024 German film adaptation of Michael Kumpfmüller’s bestseller about the love between Franz Kafka and Dora Diamant in the last year of the writer’s life.
After registration an e-mail will be sent that will include a program that lists and describes all 10 films and the film festival’s access code.
