ALBANY–Colonie Chabad will host a several family Shavuot events. The programs are open to the community.
The holiday will commence with an all night study session on Thursday, May 25, featuring student rabbis and a holiday dinner at the home of Rabbi Mordechai and Chana Rubin, co-directors of Colonie Chabad, 284 Osborne Rd., Loudonville.
The main Shavuot program will feature a celebration and dairy buffet (with non-dairy options) on Friday, May 26, at 5 p.m. outdoors at the Rubin home. The 10 commandments will be read offering attendees an opportunity to observe the holiday.
Services on Shabbat, May 27, set for 10:30 a.m., will include the yizkor memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
