ALBANY– Colonie Chabad and Clifton Park Chabad will offer a new course entitled “Decision of Fate,” an accredited course for doctors and lawyers (NYS: CLE & CME for Doctors & Lawyers) but open to all. Rabbi Mordechai Rubin of Colonie Chabad, says that the 4-session course from the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) set to start in Colonie on Tuesday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. will help inform choices on common medical questions from a Jewish perspective. Four areas of medical ethics: experimental treatments, extending life, pregnancy questions, and caring for a body will be reviewed.
“Gain an enriching perspective on how the Jewish ethical tradition helps us confidently navigate fateful decisions,” said Rabbi Yossi Rubin of Clifton Park Chabad.
The sessions will be on Tuesdays in Colonie and on Thursdays beginning May 16 in Clifton Park at 7 p.m. Both courses will also be offered on Zoom.
The first class will be offered at no cost.
