GLENS FALLS – Temple Beth El’s annual Latke Fest will be held this year on Sunday, Dec 18, from 2 – 5 p.m. at the synagogue, 3 Marion Ave. Glens Falls. The community celebration features music, contests, and latkes. Cooks and tasters of all ages, faiths and cooking abilities join the latke cooking competition. The winning team will earn the “Golden Latke” and will receive prizes, along with bragging rights for the year. Awards also go to the best condiment winner.
In addition, the committee is also seeking volunteers for the day of the event and sponsors at all levels for both monetary and in-kind donations.
The registration deadline for cooks is Dec. 16.
Tickets are available at the door and tables may be reserved by calling the Temple office. Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5-11, and $150 for a reserved table. Proceeds support Temple Beth El and the Glens Falls Jewish community. Cash, check, paypal or credit card will be accepted.
