Out of the darkness of the October 7 tragedy, a bright spot has emerged: new opportunities to create transformational Israeli-diaspora connections through programs like Project 24 Israel. Congregation Rodeph Sholom is proud to be part of this initiative, which connects Israeli communities in the South and North with North American Jewish communities, fostering mutual support and healing. Recently, Project 24 brought over 400 Israelis from devastated kibbutzim and moshavim to New York, where they stayed with families across more than 30 communities, including ours. This powerful experience culminated in a heartfelt gathering at our synagogue, strengthening bonds and resilience through shared experiences.
