GLENS FALLS—Congregation Temple Beth El invites the community to a Pride Shabbat on Friday, June 27, at 7 p.m., at the temple, 3 Marion Ave., Glens Falls.
According to organizers, the family-friendly evening celebrates the intersections of Jewish and LGBTQ+ identities, and will affirm the congregation’s commitment to love, diversity, and inclusion. The evening will feature prayers, and music and is open to all — regardless of religious background, identity, or affiliation. “As a Reform Jewish congregation, we believe everyone is created b’tzelem elohim— in the image of God,” said Rob Burchfield, incoming president of the board of trustees.
