Super Sunday, the largest Jewish annual community phone-a-thon fund-raiser of the Jewish Federation of Northeastern NY took place on Sunday, March 9. In total, $161,572 was raised on Super Sunday for the Jewish Federation’s 2025 Annual Campaign, according to Robert Kovach, Federation CEO and president.

Teams of volunteers were on the phones all day inside the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York’s (JFNENY) offices contacting community members.

Many local elected officials including Congressman Paul Tonko, NYS Senator Pat Fahy, Assemblyman John McDonald and Albany Mayor Sheehan came by (and some even made calls!) to show support. Other elected officials who came by to show their support were City of Albany Auditor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs, Majority Leader of the Albany Common Council Ginny Farrell, Albany County Legislator Dustin Reidy and Schenectady County Legislator Michelle Osterlich.
