JOSH SABO
ALBANY–Josh Sabo has been named the new chairman of the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York’s (JFNENY) Endowment Board of Governors, taking over for Jesse Holland after his completion of a successful four-year term.
Sabo is a partner at Couch White, LLP, where he focuses on the review and development of solar, hydro and wind projects. He also serves as agent or examining counsel for three major title insurance companies and handles all aspects of real estate transactions. He has served as the town justice and town attorney in his hometown of North Greenbush, and is a longtime member of and volunteer for the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York. He and his family are congregantsof Congregation Berith Sholom in Troy.
JFNENY’s Endowment Board of Governors has the authority to invest and manage the institutional funds and assets of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund with a goal of securing the community’s Jewish future.
Jesse Holland, president and founder of Sunrise Management & Consulting, is a longtime member of Congregation Gates of Heaven, joined the Endowment Board of Governors in 2008 and has served as chairman since 2020. During his time as chair, the balance in the Jewish Community Endowment Fund has risen from $24.8 million to $30.5 million, including the $4 million given to support community over that time. Holland will continue to serve on the Endowment Board of Governors’ executive committee during Sabo’s term.

He has helped us grow the endowment fund, securing our Jewish community’s future, while also helping to fund important programs and services,” said Deborah Goldstein, JFNENY’s director of planned giving and endowments. “We’re excited that Josh will be continuing this effort in the coming years and know that with him leading our board, we will continue to accomplish our important objectives.”
