SARATOGA SPRINGS – Jewish War Veterans from the Capital District Council (JWV) manned the community booth at the Saratoga Racetrack on Sunday, July 6, to cap the weekend of racing for the 2025 July 4th racing festival at the race course. The track had 15,000 visitors for the day, with the Jewish War Veterans booth displayed at the main entrance to the grandstand.

Saratoga Post 36 Commander Sam Gottesman asserted that  this was another great opportunity to engage both locals and tourists with the Jewish War Veterans organization.

Visitors to the booth were offered flag pins, flyers and conversation with Jewish veterans from Saratoga Post 36, Schenectady Post 106 and Albany Post 105, as they represented veterans of the past 60 years.

Joining the groupat the booth was Manhattan-Cooper Post 1 and Department of New York Chief of Staff Jonah Berman, often a visitor to area events and programs.

JWV  expects to return again to the track later in the season to better promote the organization and its programs, Gottesman said.
