Capital Region Jewish veterans and interested members of the community are invited to join the Jewish War Veterans of the United States Capital District Posts 105, 106 and 36 Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Beth Tephilah Synagogue, 82 River St., Troy. The free program, hosted by R Leible Morrison of the Chabad of Troy and Congregation Beth Tephilah, begins at 10 a.m. with a kosher breakfast prepared by the Troy Chabad.
The breakfast is sponsored by the Capital District Jewish War Veterans Council.
Morrison, whose father was a Jewish veteran, will speak to those attending about the “Jewish Military Experience.” The group will tour the historical synagogue and celebrate Sukkot.
The Jewish War Veterans of the Capital Region include Albany Post 105, Schenectady Post 106 and Saratoga Post 36.
