ALBANY –Bethlehem Chabad will host Eden Gefner, a 28-year-old from Kibbutz Re’im, the kibbutz that hosted the Oct. 7 Nova Music Festival. During the program on Thursday, May 9, Gefner will share her personal experiences facing terrorism on October 7th.The program will be held at the Bethlehem Chabad, 393 Delaware Ave., Delmar at 7 p.m.

Gefner and her boyfriend were visiting her parents at their home, kibbutz Re-im when the terrorists took over the kibbutz and broke into their home.

She and her family hid in the attic. After 26 hours under fire, the family was rescued by the IDF and was evacuated from the kibbutz. Her family survived, but many of her neighbors and 400+ festival-goers trying to escape from the surrounding fields did not.
