President and CEO of Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors Mark L. Koblenz has announced plans to retire after more than 18 years of service. The organization has initiated a national search for a new CEO to build on the successes achieved under Mark’s leadership. Koblenz will remain in his position until a replacement is found.
Under the guidance of Koblenz, Daughters of Sarah has flourished as a leading provider of senior care services in New York’s Capital Region. The organization has expanded its programs, enhanced resident care, and fostered a culture of inclusivity and respect for seniors built upon traditional Jewish values such as honoring our elders, performing acts of lovingkindness, and emphasizing dignity, joy, and quality of life.
Reflecting on his time with Daughters, Koblenz expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the senior community and work alongside a dedicated team of professionals. “It has been an incredible journey leading Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors, starting when I was in my 20s as one of the youngest board members. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together in improving the lives of seniors and providing them with the care, dignity, and support they deserve,” said Koblenz.
Members representing the three governing boards for the Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors have formed a CEO Search Taskforce to oversee the search recruitment process, ensuring a thorough selection of the next leader. This taskforce will work closely with national executive search firm ZurickDavis to identify candidates with the vision, skills, and dedication necessary to continue the Daughters’ mission of providing outstanding care for seniors.
