CLIFTON PARK– Chabad of Clifton Park, located at 495 Moe Rd., Clifton Park, has announced its holiday season programing. From Hebrew school to High Holiday, Sukkot services, and festivities, and a new Tanya study class, there is something for everyone, according to co-directors Leah and Rabbi Yossi Rubin. Programs are open to the entire community, and everyone is invited to participate.
The weekly Tanya Class began Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7:15 p.m. Clifton Park Chabad will continue to explore this foundational text of Chasidut. The class is open to all, in person or on Zoom.
Hebrew School opens Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. Two new dynamic curricula designed to inspire Jewish pride and journey into mitzvot, traditions, and Jewish values and Israel Quest (Grades 3–7): reviewing Jewish history and connection to Israel, according to the Rubins. Scholarships are available.
High Holiday season services are free and open to the community, with no membership required. Rosh Hashanah services and dinners are slated for Sept. 22 -24. Programing for children also includes CKids: Shofar Sound Lab on Sunday, Sept. 21, 11 a.m. at the Clifton Park Senior Center. The science of sound will be explored. A Family Shofar at the Park Tashlich, Barney Rd. Park Pond is set for Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 4:30 p.m.
Yom Kippur services are planned for Oct.1 and 2 with a break the fast at the conclusion of the holiday set for the evening of Oct. 2.
Sukkot celebrations include a “Sukkot Dinner Under the Stars” on Monday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m. Later in the holiday, the16th annual “Sushi in the Sukkah” is planned for Thursday, Oct. 9, at 5 p.m. It will feature live klezmer music, lulav shaking, sushi, soups, salads, and desserts.
