ALBANY – The Bethlehem Chabad Rosh Chodesh Society invites the community to attend a Friday night dinner at 7 p.m. on Aug. 11 at Bethlehem Chabad, 393 Delaware Ave., Delmar. The is open to all—men, women, and children.

The Bethlehem Chabad Rosh Chodesh Society is the women’s division of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI). Two cohorts of local women have either completed the course or are taking the course “To BElieve or not to BElieve in Yourself.” 

“This seven part class takes complex ideas from Chasidic philosophy and illuminates common sources of anxiety, guilt and confusion and helps participants find practical strategies for developing joy, purpose, direction and perseverance in everyday life,” according to Chanie Simon, co-director of Bethlehem Chabad.

The two-dozen women who have taken or are taking this course are marking their learning progress by participating in the preparation of food including challah for the Shabbat dinner.
