SCHENECTADY–A Family-Friendly Chanukah and New Year’s Eve Party has been announced by Congregation Gates of Heaven for Tuesday, Dec. 31. The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Temple Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Ave., Schenectady.
According to organizers, the celebration will feature a variety of activities to suit everyone in the family. Highlights include board games, themed crafts, ascavenger hunt, dance party, and movie marathon. Children and adults alike will have an opportunity to test their skills in “minute-to-win-it” challenges or take part in the balloon countdown. Time capsules and setting meaningful goals for the upcoming year and a family style dinner, will be featured.
“We wanted to create an inclusive Chanukah and New Year’s Eve experience where families can enjoy the excitement of the holidays together without staying out too late,” said Arnie Rotenberg, director of congregational Jewish living.
