The Jewish Art Calendar of Capital Chabad will soon be published and mailed to over 5,000 homes in the Capital Region free of charge. The plan is to send it with The Jewish World newspaper’s Rosh Hashanah edition.

The calendar includes Shabbat and holiday times and personal yartzeit dates and milestones.

This year the calendar will also  note 50 years of Chabad in the Capital Region; with its directors Rabbi Israel and Rochel Rubin came to the Albany community in the fall of 1974.

Individuals may mark a loved one’s yartzeit on the actual date for a $54 donation per date. Birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, and other milestones are also welcome. Those interested  in adding  to the calendar  are asked to do so by Monday, Aug. 7. Celebratory greetings noting Chabad’s 50th are also available for $180.
